Wonders of Cambodia, Vietnam & the Mekong River Cruise, Emerald Harmony, October 2027

Siem Reap, gateway to the temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm, is where this 13-day journey aboard Emerald Harmony begins. The Mekong cruise itself gets underway at Rokar Koang, then calls at Kampong Tralach and Oudong on the approach to Phnom Penh, before crossing the Cambodia-Vietnam border at Tan Chau, where a visit to a traditional Cao Dai temple reveals a uniquely Vietnamese religion. From there the route continues past Gieng Island, My An Hung, Sa Dec and Cai Be, before disembarking at My Tho for a two-night stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Onboard, 7 nights aboard Emerald Harmony are complemented by deluxe hotel accommodation for the remaining nights, with 30 meals included across the journey, 12 breakfasts, 9 lunches and 9 dinners. Itinerary

Day 1, Arrive Siem Reap. Begin in Siem Reap, gateway to the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm.

Days 2 to 3, Siem Reap. Two days to explore Siem Reap and its temple complexes.

Day 4, Siem Reap to Rokar Koang. Transfer to Rokar Koang to embark on the seven-night Mekong cruise aboard Emerald Harmony.

Day 5, Kampong Tralach, Oudong and Phnom Penh. Calls at Kampong Tralach and Oudong on the approach to the Cambodian capital.

Day 6, Phnom Penh. A full day in Phnom Penh.

Day 7, crossing into Vietnam at Tan Chau. Cross the Cambodia-Vietnam border, with a visit to a traditional Cao Dai temple at Tan Chau.

Day 8, Gieng Island and My An Hung. Continuing along the Mekong Delta.

Day 9, Sa Dec and Cai Be. Riverside towns of the delta.

Day 10, My Tho to Ho Chi Minh City. Disembark Emerald Harmony at My Tho and transfer to Ho Chi Minh City for a two-night stay.

Days 11 to 12, Ho Chi Minh City. Two nights exploring Vietnam’s largest city.

Day 13, Depart Ho Chi Minh City. Journey’s end.
