About this experience

Civitavecchia, the historic seaport that serves as Rome’s gateway, is where this 12-night voyage aboard Emerald Kaia, an Emerald Cruises luxury yacht, begins. From there the route runs south along Italy’s coastline, crosses to Malta, continues into the Greek Ionian islands, then threads Montenegro’s coast and the Dalmatian islands of Croatia before finishing in Dubrovnik.

Why this journey

The itinerary links some of the Mediterranean and Adriatic’s most storied coastlines in a single voyage. Capri and the waters off Sorrento bring dramatic cliffs and quiet villages; the volcanic Lipari archipelago and the hilltop Sicilian town of Taormina follow; Valletta contributes Malta’s Baroque capital. After a day at sea, the route turns to Greece’s Ionian island of Kefalonia and the mainland resort town of Parga, then on to Kotor, Montenegro, a fortified city set against a dramatic bay. The Croatian islands of Vis and Korcula close out the Dalmatian coast before the voyage ends in Dubrovnik, known for its walled medieval Old Town.
